How does this all work?

Just sign up. Then all you have to do is set your browser homepage to a special address that we give you and your computer will instantly redirect you, thats it, you might see a blank screen for a second like you did when you came to this site but most likely it will be instantaneous. Now if your computer ever gets stolen all you have to do is come back to this site and enable email alerts. Then everytime someone uses your internet browser you automaticly get an email with there information which you can give to the police to help them find your computer.

So I just sign up and I'm protected?

Not quite, this site only gives you the ip address of your computer when you sign on to your web browser. It has some methods of getting behind proxys but there are some ways of getting around that. More importantly you have to make sure that you set ALL of your browser's homepages to the one we give you. If you only set it on firefox say, and the criminal tries to log on via internet explorer its not going to work. Also the criminal has to log onto the internet. That being said, you must also enable alerts and then contact the police yourself. We can't and won't do that for you. All we do is send you the ip address as well as some other information on your computers where abouts.

Wait a minute, you guys know what I'm doing on the internet now?

NO! All we know is your email address and what site you start your browser to. Our server keeps logs of incoming IP addresses but we don't connect that to your information. That is why it is important to enable alerts when you need them. When we send out an alert the IP address does not get saved, this is for your privacy so if you forget to enable alerts we can not help you.
